Word shape worksheets are useful for teaching students how to form letters correctly, how to place letters in a word properly relative to each other and to the baseline, and for spelling practice. For students who are just beginning to learn to write, simple worksheets present a word that can be copied directly into an adjacent word shape. A more advanced 'Word Shape Puzzle' requires students to match a scrambled list of words to their shapes.
